Corolla Independence Day Celebration

Friday, July 3, 2026 | 5:00 PM

Kick off your holiday weekend at Historic Corolla Park with one of the largest Independence Day celebrations on the Outer Banks. Enjoy:

  • Fireworks over the Currituck Sound at dusk

Admission is free, but parking fills quickly, so plan to arrive early.


Duck Fourth of July Parade

Friday, July 3, 2026 | 9:00 AM

Duck celebrates Independence Day with one of the Outer Banks’ favorite traditions—a patriotic parade through town featuring decorated floats, golf carts, local businesses, and plenty of red, white, and blue spirit.

After the parade, stick around Duck Town Park for live music, refreshments, and community festivities.


Avon Fishing Pier Celebration

Saturday, July 4 | 9:00 PM

Don’t miss the annual celebration at Avon Fishing Pier. Gather on the beach and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean, visible from much of the Avon beachfront.

Bring a beach chair, blanket, and arrive early for the best viewing spots.


Town of Kill Devil Hills Celebration

Saturday, July 4 | At Dusk

Head to Avalon Pier for one of the Outer Banks’ signature Independence Day celebrations. The fireworks are launched from the pier and are best viewed from the surrounding beaches.

Parking is limited, so walking or biking is encouraged whenever possible.


Nags Head Fireworks Spectacular

Saturday, July 4 | 9:00 PM

The Town of Nags Head hosts its annual fireworks display at Nags Head Fishing Pier. Bring your beach chairs or blankets and enjoy the show from one of the nearby public beach accesses.

For the best experience, arrive early and expect heavy traffic after the event.


Manteo Fourth of July Celebration

Saturday, July 4 | Beginning at 4:00 PM

Historic downtown Manteo offers a full afternoon and evening of family fun before ending the day with a beautiful waterfront fireworks display.

Enjoy:

The evening concludes with fireworks over the Roanoke Sound and Shallowbag Bay.
