This semi-oceanfront home combines the features vacationers look for with a location that is hard to beat. The beach access is just across the street, there are great ocean views from the decks, every bedroom has its own private bath, and there is a private saltwater pool and hot tub right outside.
Located in Crown Point, the home is also close to Timbuck II, restaurants, shopping and plenty to do when you are ready for a break from the beach.
Semi-Oceanfront and Steps to the Beach
Location is always important on the Outer Banks, and this one has a good one. The beach access is approximately 50 feet from the house, making it easy to head back and forth throughout the day without loading everyone into the car.
The upper decks have great ocean views, and the top-floor living area takes advantage of them with plenty of windows, vaulted ceilings and access to the deck.
The great room has an easy beach-house feel with an electric fireplace and ship’s watch. The kitchen offers a large breakfast bar with additional seating, and the dining area has plenty of room for a full house.
Six Bedrooms and Six Private Baths
One of my favorite things about this home is the bedroom layout.
The house offers 6 bedrooms, 6 full baths and 1 half bath, with a private bath for every bedroom. That is a big plus in a vacation rental property, where guests really appreciate having their own space.
The mid level was extensively remodeled in 2023, converting the existing four-bedroom, two-bath layout into four bedrooms with four private baths. Three of the queen en-suite bedrooms also have direct deck access.
There is an additional en-suite bedroom on the ground level and a queen en-suite on the top floor with a large walk-in shower.
A Private Pool Area That Has Already Been Updated
A private pool is high on the list for many Corolla vacationers, and this home has a nice outdoor setup.
The 12 x 24 saltwater pool was resurfaced in 2023, and the owners replaced all of the pool equipment, including adding a pool heater. They also expanded the pool area with a new patio and installed all-new fencing.
There is a hot tub, outdoor shower, grilling area and basketball hoop, giving guests plenty to do when they are not at the beach.
Recent Improvements Add Value
The current owners have continued to improve the property since purchasing it in 2021.
In addition to the major bedroom and bathroom renovation and pool improvements completed in 2023, the upstairs primary bathroom was remodeled in 2021. Two large three-panel sliding doors were replaced with standard sliders along with multiple new windows.
In 2025, the old deck was demolished and a new deck was built, and the upper HVAC system was replaced in 2026. The lower HVAC dates to 2021.
These are meaningful improvements for an investor comparing Outer Banks homes, particularly when looking at future maintenance and the overall guest experience.
Community in Corolla
Crown Point is an oceanside Corolla community offering a community swimming pool, tennis and beach access. The neighborhood is also conveniently located near Timbuck II and other Corolla shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
For vacation rental guests, that means you can spend the morning on the beach, come back for an afternoon by the private pool and head out for dinner or shopping without traveling far.
Corolla continues to be one of the most recognizable vacation destinations on the northern Outer Banks, and there is much more here than the beach.
Visitors can explore Historic Corolla Village, Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Whalehead and the Currituck Maritime Museum, or head north to see Corolla’s famous wild horses and explore the 4×4 beaches.
Corolla also offers kayaking, surfing, fishing and other outdoor activities, along with a good selection of locally owned shops and restaurants.
For an investment property, having these attractions nearby gives vacationers plenty of reasons to choose Corolla and return year after year.
